Addis Ababa City Administration announced that it was working to complete the underground parking lot which it was constructing on 7,247 square meters of land in Yeka Sub City around Shola market. The Administration stated that the project was one of its mega projects which were being undertaken in Addis Ababa.

Addis Ababa City’s Mayor’s Office noted that on-street parking was one of the reasons for traffic jams in the city. It stated that its parking lot projects would alleviate such problems when completed. The parking lot around Shola market is expected to facilitate the traffic flow of the area by providing parking spaces for 900 vehicles.
