Ethiopian Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) revealed that African Bamboo PLC would enter Hawassa industrial Park to manufacture wall cladding and indoor flooring from bamboo resources. 

African Bamboo, a company registered in Ethiopia and the Netherlands, has a bamboo based panel production project in West Arsi, Oromia Region. It received an approval of bamboo forest management for the project from the Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Authority of the Oromia Regional State in 2019.
