Tsemex is set to provide large capacity water tanks to help resolve the water problem in Ethiopia. The company plans to import water tanks with the capacity to hold 12,000 liters and custom designed tanks that can hold up to 10 million liters.
The Pioneer water tanks that Tsemex will import come in diameters ranging from 2.68 meters to 20.05 meters and with heights of 1.1 meter to 8.5 meter said Rezene Ayalew Managing Director of Tsemex.
The water tanks will be equipped to withstand high winds and earthquakes and are less likely to be affected by heavy loads according to Rezene.The on site assembly of Pioneer tankers is an advantage over other brands said Albert Purnomo, International Consultant of Pioneer water tank. Pioneer tanks are packed in sizes less than one percent of their assembled size which is convenient for transport he explained.
Pioneer water tanks are made of flexible reinforced polyethylene lined bottoms which allow the water to follow the contour of the ground. The product comes with a warranty for 10 years and is said to be durable for 65 years.
Tsemex is the sole distributor of Pioneer Water Tanks in Ethiopia. Pioneer Water Tank is a subsidiary of Blue scope Steel, an international steel manufacturer.
