The Ethiopian Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration said fuel retail prices will remain unchanged until May 8, 2022. However, light and hard black diesel, and airplane fuel prices are subject to revision as per the global rate, it has been learned.

The Ministry has called on the society to use fuel economically, considering the significant amount of subsidy the government injects to stabilize fuel prices.

Fuel prices may be revised prior to the stated date if global prices surge even higher, the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration further pointed out.
