National Bank of Ethiopia has inked an agreement with Afreximbank, the continental import-export bank, to collaborate on trade and investment, as well as job creation and poverty reduction.
Signing the deal were Yinager Dessie (Ph.D.), Governer of National Bank of Ethiopia, and Benedict Oramah, President of Afreximbank. In addition to its economic and social aims, the deal is also said to facilitate Ethiopia's investment ties with other African countries.
Established in October 1993 with the aim "to finance and promote Intra- and Extra-African Trade," Afreximbank is a multifaceted trade and finance pan-African bank.
