The Addis Ababa Cooperatives Agency said that agricultural and industrial food products worth over 48 million birr have been transacted on Sunday markets at selected spots all over the city.
The Agency said for the past weeks various agricultural products, including grains, vegetables, fruit, butter, eggs, and honey. Moreover, industrial food products such as pasta, flour and cooking oil, as well as various spices are being sold on Sunday markets.
The Sunday market scheme is aimed at helping alleviate the burden of inflation from the inhabitants of Addis Ababa.
