Ethiopian Poultry Expo Opened

The 4th Ethiopian Poultry Expo and Animal Tech Show was opened yesterday. It is expected that the Expo will play a role in promoting Ethiopia’s livestock resources to the international market according to Gidey Gebre-Medhin Director General of the Ethiopian Meat and Diary Technology Institute.

The Expo will provide all necessary information to investors interested in the sector explained Gidey.

Fifty one international companies from across the world including Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Spain, Italy and Germany are taking part in the event.

The livestock event was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture in partnership with an International exhibition organizer and the Meat and Diary Technology Institute.

In related news 28 local and foreign firms in the printing and packaging sector are participating in the Afri Print and Packaging Exhibition.

The exhibition aims to create opportunities for investors interested in the printing and packaging sectors according to Teka Abadi Chair Person of the Ethiopian Printing and Printers Enterprise.

The demand for printing and packaging services is increasing and the Enterprise wishes to attract investors to the sector he said.

The event is also expected to create networking and market relationships and to ultimately increase national revenue and job opportunities according to Teka.

The event was organized by the Afri Print and Packaging Expo International.
