Ethiopia Grants Mining Licenses to 6 Companies with $4.7Bn Capital

mines-ministry-grants-six-licenses-Ethiopia's Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has granted licenses for six companies that have completed the required preparations and mine exploration. The companies have signed agreements with the ministry upon issuance of the licenses.

Takele Uma, Ethiopia's Minister of Mines and Petroleum, inked the agreement with the general managers of the companies, the Ministry related. 

Kurmuk Gold Mine, Etno Mining, and Oromia Mining companies have obtained licenses for gold mining. Kripto Mining and Chemicals and Buhumi Mining companies are given licenses to extract marble, while Al Hamil Khadim has been licensed for the production of chlorine and bromine.

The six companies have registered a total of $4.7 billion in investment capital.
