Ethiopia's Ministry of Transport said it has generated a revenue of over 375 million birr (over $8.13 million) from the toll roads of Addis Ababa - Adama and Dire Dawa - Dewale during the Ethiopian fiscal year that ended on July 7, 2021. The amount has been earned from over 9.3 million vehicles that used the two toll roads, the Ministry pointed out.
In a related note, the Ministry of Transport noted that it has constructed 1,188km long roads all over Ethiopia, which stands at 85 percent of the target the Ministry set for the year. Moreover, over 12,000km of roads have been maintained, achieving 88 percent of the target set for the work.
