Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), in partnership with Solget Travel Agency, announced they have made a deal to jointly launch an electronic flight booking application. The app, dubbed GuzoGo (Guzo, Amharic for "travel"), will enable passengers reserve flights and pay via the CBE Birr platform.
Yohannes Million, CBE's VP of Digital Banking, explained in addition to the GuzoGo mobile app, passengers can also dial 7473 to get the service.
In addition to Amharic, the app is available in Amharic, Afaan Oromo, Tigrigna, and Somali languages.
GuzoGo will enable passengers to book flights on ten airlines: Ethiopian, Emirates, Lufthansa, Qatar, Turkish, Kenya, Dubai, Gulf, Egypt, and Saudi, FBC reported.
