Flights between Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and Karachi, Pakistan will start soon, Shozab Abbas, Pakistan's Ambassador-designate said. This comes following Pakistan lifting a ban on the import of beans to Ethiopia.
Bilateral trade between Ethiopia and Pakistan stood at $50 million, out of which $49 million is Ethiopia's exports to Pakistan, the Ambassador-designate said at a meeting at the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) in Pakistan, APP reports.
Pakistan has the potential to export agricultural machinery and appliances with technology transfer to Ethiopia, Mr. Abbas related. He also noted that four Pakistani textile manufacturers have relocated to Ethiopia and are now catering to domestic needs in Ethiopia.
