Ethiopia's Amhara Region Gets a New Bags and Carpet Factory

Ethiopia's Amhara regional state has inaugurated a bags and carpet factory, built at a cost close to $2.8 million (100 million birr).

Built by Admas Farmers' Cooperatives Union, the factory is situated in the town of Injibara, in the Awi administrative zone.

At its onset, the factory has employed 200 people and has the potential of creating 700 jobs total when it goes fully operational.
