Djibouti declared it is to cut port tariffs by 82.5 percent for Ethiopia's exports due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, in a tweet, expressed "profound gratitude" to Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh. The gesture at this critical time stands "testimony to countering the effects of COVID-19 through collective leadership," PM Abiy noted.
About 95 percent of all inbound trade of Ethiopia passes through the Port of Djibouti.
