Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed announced that Ethiopia has finished distributing medical supplies obtained from the Jack Ma Foundation to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

"I am quite pleased to share that since receiving COVID-19 supplies from Jack Ma and Alibaba Group a week ago, we have successfully finalized the distribution task within the continent in six days," PM Abiy said in a tweet.

 

The distribution has been carried out via Ethiopian Airlines.

 

Ethiopia continues its fundraising effort and other preparations to tackle COVID-19.

 

The number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus has reached 29 as of today, April 1, 2020.
