Ethiopia Collects $1.3 Bn from Exports in 6 Months

Ethiopia has earned a revenue of $1.33 billion in the first six months of the Ethiopian fiscal year that started in July 2019. This is 80 percent of the target set, the Ethiopian Ministry of Trade and Industry announced.

Giving a briefing about the same, Wondimu Filate, Public Relations and Communication Director at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, pointed out the amount showed an increase of 1.33 percent compared to the same period last year when $1.21 billion has been collected. The target set for these six months this year, however, was $1.66 billion.

The $1.33 billion revenue has been accounted for from the exports of coffee, oilseed, spice, flower, cereal, textile, chat, and live animals.
