Africab Group, the Indian manufacturer of a wide range of electrical products in Africa, is interested in investing in Ethiopia, the company's heads said.

On meeting Africab Group's executives in Addis Ababa today, Ethiopia's State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Aklilu Hailemichael (Ph.D.), appreciated their interest to enter the Ethiopian market. He pointed out several Indian investors are currently investing in various sectors in Ethiopia. Dr. Aklilu went on to reaffirm Africab will have "unrelenting support" from the Ethiopian government should they invest in Ethiopia.

Sheikh Yusufali Imani (Ph.D.), Director of External Marketing at the Dare salaam branch of Africab Group, indicated his company wants to engage in producing cables, transformers, switches and other related products in Ethiopia.
