Over 20 UK Companies Seek to Invest in Ethiopia

Over 20 UK companies, in the Invest Africa platform, are exploring investment opportunities here in Ethiopia.

Delegates of Invest Africa drawn from different sectors including energy resources, hotels, trade, and banking are discussing with Ethiopian ministers in Addis Ababa.

The visiting companies had discussions with Yinager Dessei (Ph.D.), Ethiopia's National Bank Governer, and other government officials regarding the economic reforms Ethiopia is going through. They also visited industrial zones.

Included in the delegation are prominent companies from a range of strategic sectors including agriculture, telecom, logistics, tourism, mining, and power generation.

Invest Africa is a leading pan-African business platform that promotes trade and investment in Africa, the platform's website says. It has a global footprint of more than 400 member companies, comprising multinationals, private equity firms, institutional investors, development finance institutions, professional service organizations, government bodies, and entrepreneurs.
