Ethiopia’s sole telecom service provider, Ethio Telecom signed an agreement with the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) that will enable the former’s clients to make their monthly payments via the bank.

Frehiwot Tamiru, CEO of Ethio Telecom, and Bacha Gina, President of CBE inked the agreement. According to the agreement, Ethio Telecom’s clients will now be able to pay their service fees using the bank’s branches, CBE Birr, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, and ATM machines.
