The Ethiopian Airlines Aviation Academy has been officially recognized as an approved part-147 type maintenance training organization by the European Aviation Safety Agency.
The recognition from the European agency approves the Ethiopian Aviation Academy to offer international standard technical trainings to produce a professional work force for itself and other carriers.The approval is an important milestone in the effort to make the academy a center of excellence in the region said Samuel Assefa Vice President of the Ethiopia Aviation Academy.
The approval obtained is due to the team efforts of the staff and management of Ethiopia Airlines he said. At Samuel expressed his gratitude for the support that the academy has received thus far.
The Ethiopian Aviation Academy has trained pilots, maintenance technicians, cabin crew and marketing and finance professionals from its inception in the 1960’s. The academy has graduated many hundreds pilots and maintenance technicians from more than 40 countries from across the Globe.
The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is an agency of the European Union (EU) which has been given regulatory and executive tasks in the field of civilian aviation safety. This includes the approval and authorization of organizations involved in the design, manufacture and maintenance of aeronautical products and services.
