Kuriftu Resort and Spa built the first water park in Ethiopia in Bishoftu, some 60 kilometres from the capital Addis Ababa. The water park was inaugurated today.

Resting on 72,000 square meters of land, the water park is comprised of water playgrounds, swimming pools, 123 shops and three banks, It was also learnt that it is the first of its kind not only in Ethiopia, but also in the East African region.

Tadios Getachew, owner of Kuriftu Resort & Spa, remarked the park will have its own contribution for the growth of the Ethiopia’s tourism industry.

The water park has created jobs for 1,000 unemployed youth, it was further noted.
