Ethiopia, Greece Seek to Strengthen Trade, Investment Ties

Ethiopia-GreeceMarkos Tekle (PhD), Ethiopia’s State Minister of Foreign Affairs, received and discussed with Terens-Ninkolaos, Greece’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. The two diplomats discussed on how to bolster the bilateral trade and investment ties between their two countries.

During their meeting, State Minister Dr. Markos appreciated the long-standing and historic relations between the two countries, having diplomatic ties that span over a century. “Ethiopia and Greece are one of the oldest civilizations in the world with a shared history and an important contribution to world civilizations,” he said.

Deputy Minister Ninkolaos, on his part, related he is “satisfied” with the robust bilateral relations between Ethiopia and Greece, which encompass a range of issues not the least of which are business, tourism, investment and trade. He also said a Greek business delegation will be coming to Ethiopia following his footsteps. He further noted that this will further strengthen the trade and investment ties between Ethiopia and Greece.
