Ethiopia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Workneh Gebeyehu (PhD) conferred with Italian investors regarding investment opportunities in Ethiopia. Dr. Workneh explained investment and business opportunities that await foreign investors in Ethiopia.

In this discussion held in Rome, representatives of ten companies that work in pharmaceutical, construction, agro-processing and apparel industries took part. During the discussion, Mrs. Laura Colnaghi Calvoni, President and CEO of Carvico Group, shard highlights of experiences of investing in the Kombolcha Industrial Park. Her company, Carvico, has invested $100 million to manufacture synthetic textiles in Ethiopia. Carvico Group, owner of Carvico and Jersey Lomellina, has been in the textile industry for almost sixty years.
