Ethiopian Gets Its 10th Airbus A350

10th airbusEthiopian got its tenth Airbus A350 aircraft, the long-range, two-engine, wide-body jet airliner.

Ethiopian Airlines, the leading airline in Africa that has been chosen the best airline in the continent for seven years in a row, received this tenth A350 at a ceremony held at its quarters at Bole International Airport, Addis Ababa.

Present at the ceremony were Ethiopian Group CEO Tewolde Gebremariam and former CEO Girma Wakei, among other dignitaries.

The first Airbus A350 arrived in Addis in 2016, and it is in less than three years that Ethiopian bolstered the A350s it has to ten.

This Airbus A350 is comprised of two classes with 343 seats in total, 30 of which are for Business Class while 313 are for Economy Class. The A350-900, which, according to Airbus, “is the cornerstone member” of Airbus’ A350 XWB family of aircrafts, is one of the roomiest commercial jets so far as roof space is concerned, standing over 17 meters high, with “state-of-the-art comfort and amenities.”

Ethiopian is one of the first airliners, albeit the fastest growing, in Africa flying for over seventy years. It is also the largest carrier in the continent with the youngest and most modern fleet, flying to 117 international passenger and cargo destinations all over the globe.
