Ethiopia secured close to Birr 152.7 billion in 2017/18 fiscal year through multilateral agreements with the World Bank, African Development Bank, European Investment Bank, European Union, and United Nations, as well as bilateral agreements with China and other countries. The total foreign Aid and grants secured in the past fiscal year showed a 54.48% increment than the previous year.

The Ministry of Finance and Economic Cooperation stated that Birr 111.8 billion was secured for the implementation programs. It stated that financial aid flows for projects has increased as a result of the country’s performance in executing projects.
