The Southern Sudanese Embassy announced that it issues approximately 100 visas to Ethiopian businesspersons conducting business in Juba. The number of business travelers has increased since Southern Sudanese Independence Day said

Southern Sudan gives priority to Ethiopian business aiming to do business in Juba especially in view of the large Ethiopian community residing in Southern Sudan according to Kong.
Many Ethiopians are involved in the hotel trade with an increasing number also exporting Ethiopian products for sale. Others are also involved in the construction sector.
The one way trade relationship between Ethiopia and Sudan is expected to improve with the completion of the road that connects the two countries said Johnny Saverio Ayik deputy chairperson of South Sudan Anti-corruption Commission.
The road, linking the two countries, is being built in a collaboration between the two governments said Ayik. It will be a significant part of the effort to improve communication and trade between Ethiopian and Southern Sudan he said.
Ethiopian Airlines already has daily flight from Addis Ababa to Juba and back which is an important link for the two countries.
