Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA) has signed a 59 Billion Birr agreement for the construction of 58 road projects. The project will cover a total of 3287 kilometers.

According to acting communication head of ERA, Dereje Hailu, the agreement is to be implemented in all states across Ethiopia. The agreement was for the construction, rehabilitation and upgrade of asphalt roads, Dereje added.

12 billion Birr worth 14 projects were under construction in the last fiscal year, Dereje explained.

In the last fiscal year, ERA managed to complete 17 road projects at a cost of 14 billion Birr. That was 97 percent of the target set, 21339 kilometers.
