Eyesuswork Zafu has retired from his 17 year tenure as Chief executive Officer of United Insurance. The CEO hass been seeking retirement for the last three years.
The shareholders and the board of the insurance have decided the former CEO will continue on with the company in the capacity of an advisor.
Eyesuswork is a founder of United Insurance and a major shareholder. He serves as the president of the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations after having served for eight years as president of the Addis Ababa CCSA.Meseret Bezabih will replace Eyesuswork as the head of United Insurance Corporation which is said to have a capital of 60 million birr.
The shareholders and board allowed the outgoing CEO to retain the company Land Cruiser that he has been using as president as a sign of gratitude. The farewell ceremony was held at the Addis Ababa Hilton Hotel.
