Ethiopia: Sapphire Hotel to Go Operational

Sapphire Addis Hotel will go operational in few days on May 13, 2017. The hotel situated in Ethiopia’s capital in a location commonly known as Medhanialem Church. It took the hotel 6 years to reach 96 percent completion rate.

Feseha Abay, owner of Sapphire Addis, said when the hotel went operational it expected to get 5 star from Ministry of Culture and Tourism. “We have built the project always keeping in mind the standards of five-star hotels,” he explained.

The hotel is expected to have 130 rooms each with laying on 42 square meters. It will also have deluxe, twin, suite and standard rooms and 8 fully furnished apartments.

It will also have 2 restaurants, Mediterranean and international, and 3 bars.

According to Fortune, at the moment there are 1,129 hotels operating in Ethiopia.
