Yod Abyssinia, one of the well-known traditional restaurants in Ethiopia’s capital, joined the hotel industry opening a 3 star hotel. The hotel is located on Haile Gebresilassie Avenue and it is said to be built with an investment of 35 million Birr.
The hotel is said to have 24 standard rooms, restaurants, meeting halls, bars and other related services. According to the general manager of the hotel, Brook Daniel, the hotel aims to give this services international standard services with highly skilled multilingual hotel professionals.
Yod Abyssinia’s 2 traditional restaurants in the capital which have been operating for the past 14 years are destinations for Ethiopian traditional food, music and dance.
Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa is home for around 1,129 hotels, According to Fortune Ethiopia ranks eighth from the African continent in terms of hotel development with 1,000 rooms. However, 84 percent of the hotel development is in the pipeline.
