Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority (ERCA) disclosed it managed to collect 71.1 billion Birr during the first 6 months of the current fiscal year.

The target set by the Authority for the 6 months period was to collect 82.9 billion Birr. The performance has thus fallen short of the target set. Nevertheless, the performance shows an 11 percent increase when compared to the same period last year.

The major sources for the income generated during the period domestic tax, export tax and sales of national lottery.
