Ministry of Trade has once again increased the retail price for fuel in Ethiopia. The new price has been made effective since today Friday, March 10, 2017.

The price for a liter of benzene is now 18.77 Birr while a liter of diesel will cost 16.35 Birr. On the other hand, a liter of kerosene, light black diesel and hard black diesel will be sold for 16.35 Birr, 14.01 Birr and 13.37 Birr respectively. 1 liter of airplane fuel is going to be sold for 16.07 Birr.

According to a statement by the Ministry, the price adjustment was made following the price increase noticed in the past 4 months in the international oil price.

The newly adjusted prices are expected to last until April 8, 2017.
