Ethiopia’s flag carrier, Ethiopian Airlines, took delivery of the third Airbus A350, which it named ErtAle after the volcano lake in Afar State. It was in June and August that the airline took delivery of the first 2 Airbuses. This is out of the total 11 it ordered.
Ethiopian took delivery of the airplane in Toulouse, a city in southern France, where it was assembled and tested.
The airline boasts to be the fastest growing Airline in Africa. It has managed to become one of Africa’s leading carriers, unrivalled in efficiency and operational success.
Currently Ethiopian claims to have a lion’s share of the pan-African passenger and cargo network. The airline operates the youngest and most modern fleet to its 95 destinations all over the world.
