Ethiopia: Aser Constructed Public Park in the Capital

Aser Construction PLC, one of the Grade I contractors in Ethiopia, constructed a public park in the capital city, Addis Ababa, at an outlay of 15 million Birr. The park is said to cover more than 6,000 square meters.

The construction of the park took 2 years and it includes green area, fountains, toilets and shower rooms, walkways, art works on walls of the compound and kids paly ground and seat at different corners of the park.

Commenting on the development, Aser’s General Manager, Engineer Yemane Abreha, noted the park would contribute greatly to Addis’ beautification efforts. “We built the park as part of our corporate responsibility and to contribute from what the company has to the public,” he furthered.

According to Yemane, the park is designed to have drawings and sculptures with the cultures of African countries as the park is near the African Union headquarters.

The administration as well as management of the park would be undertaken by third parties, the General Manager added.
Aser is engaged in different economic sectors among which some are construction of airport runways, bridges, sewerages systems as well as real estate.
