Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) disclosed in the first quarter of the current fiscal year 72 projects, with an aggregate capital of 6.75 billion Birr, entered into implementation phase.

Commenting on the development Niguse Gurmu, Policy Study and Strategy Director at EIC, said the projects were mainly in agriculture, manufacturing and service sectors.

These projects have also created employment opportunities for more than 16,000 people.

Among the 72 projects, 42 of them have started production and gone operational, the Directore explained.
