Belay Ab Motors has won bid floated for the procurement of 22 vehicles that are each worth 1.2 million Birr. The vehicles are for federal offices of Ethiopia.

It was in October 24, 2016 that Belay Ab signed the contract with the Public Procurement Property Disposal Service. The agreement was signed after both the technical and financial documents of the bidders have been evaluated.

As per the contract the vehicles are scheduled to be delivered within 90 days. Nevertheless, Belay Ab has already delivered the vehicles.

Out of the 22 vehicles, 18 of them were procured on the behalf of Ethiopian Shipping Lines Logistics Service Enterprise while the other 4 were for Agency for Government Houses.

The bid was able to attract 5 local vehicle suppliers. Out of the 5 companies that bought the bid document, 4 of them submitted bids, These companies were MOENCO, Nyala Motors, Ethio-Nippon and Belay Ab.

The highest bid price was submitted by MOENCO, 2 million Birr per vehicle. The second highest was 1.61 million Birr per vehicle by Ethio-Nippon and followed by Nyala Motors’ 1.51 million Birr per vehicle.
