Dichoto – Galafi – Elidar – Bolho road’s construction, which is being undertaken by Defense Construction Enterprise, has been started.

According to Ethiopian News Agency the cost for the construction of the road is 2.7 billion Birr and it will be covered entirely by the Ethiopian Government. The road is going to stretch 81 kilometers with 15 to 21 meters width.

Once the construction of the road is completed in 3 years it is expected to benefit the surrounding communities.

According to Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA), potash companies in particular will benefit from the road since it will relieve them from huge burden of transporting their products.
