Fame Impex Trading PLC disclosed it will distribute the global brand McVitie’s Digestive Biscuits in Ethiopia.

Commenting on the development Fekadu Kebede, Managing Director of Fame Impex said, “We are glad to distribute these famous biscuits in the market. Representatives from the McVitie’s Company came from the UK to close a deal with us to distribute the biscuits in supermarkets and shops. We have seen that the demand for these biscuits in the local market is so high that it may force us to set up a manufacturing plant in future.”

According to Capital, McVite’s is well known product that has been enjoyed by generations for over a century. The word “Digestive” is incorporated to refer for the high content of baking soda that will aid the food digestion.

The very first digestive biscuit was created in 1892 by Alexander Grant.
