Ethiopian Electric Power will conclude a contract with TBAE Co. Ltd., a Chinese company, for the construction of high-power transmission lines and distribution stations in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa. The construction is said to cost 98 USD.

According to the Enterprise’s Public Relation Director, Misker Negas, the power stations are being constructed to supply power for condominium houses, industrial parks and real estates that are found in Yeka Abado, Kilinto and Bole Lemi areas.

85 percent of the finance for the construction was secured from the Chinese Exim Bank as a loan while the rest was covered by the Ethiopian Government, Misker added.
