The Ethiopian Trade Competition and Consumer Protection Authority stated that it had begun investigations in order to sue Tiens Ethiopia for the reason that the company did not halt operation despite a ban by the Ministry of Trade (MoT), Fana Broad casting Corporate reported.

The company began operation in Ethiopia in the year 2007 G.C.

Mr. Beruk Gemeda, Authority’s Investigation and Charge Directorate Coordinator, affirmed that investigations were being undertaken on those who had participated in the illegal activities and possible victims of the alleged acts.

The Authority requested the public to cooperate in providing any possible information that would help in taking the necessary measures against Tiens. Food, Medicine and Health Care Administration and Control Authority recently announced its plan to take legal measure against the company.
