The government of Ethiopia has floated an international tender to buy 70,000 tons of milling wheat, according to European traders.
They said on Monday, January 4, 2016, the tender’s deadline is on January 5.
According to the traders, the World Bank has financed the purchase.
Beginning from recent months Ethiopia has floated a series of wheat tenders including one million tons purchase in October.
Failed rains during spring and summer 2015 has caused food and water shortages in Ethiopia.
