China seeks to boost cooperation with Ethiopia in infrastructure development and transportation sector, Chinese vice Foreign Minister Zhang Ming said on Tuesday December 29, 2015.

Zhang expressed his country’s desire after he visited the Addis Ababa Light Rail Transit built by the China Railway Group.

Among other various fields, Ethiopia and China are cooperating in infrastructure development and transportation sector, the vice Foreign Minister noted.

He also mentioned of the fact the two countries cooperation is growing fast.

The vice Foreign Minister was on board of one of the rails on the north-south line that runs from Kality to Menelik II Square. Zhang was accompanied by diplomats and officials of Shenzen Metro Group.

Zhang said: "It is an exciting experience for me to take the light train in Addis Ababa."
