According to the report, over 100 Omani companies drawn from different sectors will take part in OPEX 2016 Exhibition. The Exhibition will be held at the Millennium Hall, Addis Ababa.

The companies that will take part in the event represent a wide range of sectors including natural resources, metal, wood and manufactured products, furniture, foodstuff, medical and pharmaceutical products, fertilizers, plastics, minerals, perfumes, leather goods and logistic services.

The organizing committee said it looks forward to investment opportunities and joint venture prospects in Ethiopia.

The committee added: “we expect that OPEX will play a focal role in stimulating the commercial exchange between Oman and Ethiopia, which may result in developing the business of domestic companies and expand their trade to various regional and international markets.”

OPEX 2016 Exhibition targets at creating a platform for Omani and Ethiopian companies to cooperate and boost the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.

The previous four OPEX Exhibitions were held in Jeddah, Dubai, Doha and Riyadh.

OPEX is a joint undertaking of an Omani government committee formed by the country’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE) and the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development.
