Ethio-Jordan Business Forum was held on December 15, 2015, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Fana Broadcasting Corporate reported.

About 44 Jordanian investors from different manufacturing sectors took part in the Forum.

The Ethiopian team briefed the Jordanian investors about the country’s investment opportunities in the manufacturing sector. They were told they would be profitable if they invest in textile, agro-processing, pharmaceuticals and chemicals.

Ethiopia’s Industry Minister Tadesse Haile speaking at the Forum called Ethiopia and Jordan to boost their trade and investment relations.

Ethiopia imports fertilizers and chemicals and exports oil seeds, live animals and agricultural products to Jordan.

The current trade relation between Ethiopia and Jordan stands at USD 268 million.
