Israeli Investors Set to Launch Investment in Ethiopia’s Agriculture Sector

An Israeli investment delegation revealed its readiness to begin investment in Ethiopia’s agricultural sector starting from next year.

Zeev Oselka, leader of the Israeli delegation, who has visited Ethiopia for the fourth time told Ethiopian News Agency (ENA) the delegation has been undertaking feasibility studies in which it could invest. Thus, chose investment in the agriculture sector, combining Ethiopia’s large cultivable land and Israeli’s latest technology.

Oselka said, the Israeli delegation, composed of 20-Israeli investors in a joint venture with local investors are going to launch new companies.

According to Oselka, there would be an experience sharing between Israeli and local investors on Israel’s technology.

Israeli investors’ capital in Ethiopia reached over USD 112 million in 2013.
