Ethiopian Airlines seeks to purchase 10 narrow-body planes and it is considering Canada’s Bombardier and Brazil’s Embraer jets among others, the CEO said on Monday November 23, 2015.
The CEO speaking on the sidelines of a global aviation forum in Montreal said he is going to visit Bombardier’s Mirabel factory on Tuesday to check upon the 100-seater CS100.
He said he will also be looking at E2, the Russians, the Japanese and the Chinese.
Ethiopian has additional 14 firm orders for A350 aircraft between the current year and 2025.
Ethiopian plans to raise its aircrafts and passengers from 77 the current year to 150 aircrafts and 22 million passengers respectively by 2025, Tewolde noted.
