The Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (ECCSA) has signed an agreement with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) for the facilitation of the Phase III of the Private Sector Development Hub (PSD-HUB) program.
The agreement was concluded in Addis Ababa, on Monday November 9, 2015, between Solomon Afework, President of ECCSA, and Anneka Kanutsson, the Minister Consular of the Swedish Embassy in Ethiopia.
After the signing of the agreement, Kanutsson said the USD 6.7 million phase III program will be a huge support for Ethiopia’s economic growth.
Kanutsson furthered the main purpose of the concluded agreement is encouraging research, policy development and advocacy in the business sector as well as creating jobs.
The agreement further intends to build the capacity of ECCSA to attain financial sustainability, she added.
Afework on his part has mentioned SIDA’s financial and technical supports to ECCSA.
The Private Sector Development Hub (PSD Hub) was launched in January 2005, it was indicated.
