Eight Industrial Parks to Begin Operation in Ethiopia

The Ministry of Industry of Ethiopia (MoI) said about eight industrial parks that are being undertaken in main regional towns will become operational this Ethiopian budget year, Fana Broadcasting Corporate reported.

Tadesse Haile, Industry State Minister, said the industrial parks are expected to boost the competitiveness of local and foreign investors.

He also said an industrial park built at Bole Lemi area in Addis Ababa has gone operational, where as the Hawassa industrial park will start operation in the coming three or four months.

The industrial parks will be Ethiopia’s industrial bases and means to exploit the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) opportunity, the state Minister added.
