Ethiopia has renewed its flight agreements with seven countries, Ethiopian News Agency reported.
The Ethiopian delegation, which has attended the Eighth International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Air Service Negotiation, has renewed its previous air service agreements with seven countries. The revision was made in relation to the current market.
The Eighth International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Air Service Negotiation was held in Antalya, Turkey. The event is prepared every year in association with 193 member countries.
Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority Deputy Director-General Gobena Gwangul and its counterparts of respective countries have renewed the agreements.
The agreements would be instrumental in expanding tourism, exhorting trade and investment and earning foreign currency.
The agreement Ethiopia has signed with Britain enables Ethiopian Airlines to increase its weekly flight from 7 to 14.
Ethiopia has also renewed its contract with Switzerland to increase its weekly seven flights to 21, it was learnt.
Ethiopia has also managed to fly to Banglore, India 7 times a week, in addition to the current air services to New Delhi and Mumbai.
According to the press release of Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority, over 800 participants from 90 member states and five international organizations have attended the event in Antalya.
