The Addis Ababa Housing Development Administration Agency is preparing to issue title deeds for 156,430 kebele houses from 174,000 houses in Ethiopia’s capital, according to Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC).

Wondale Befekadu, Communication Process at the Agency told FBC on November 02, 2015, the legal documents will be issued for both residential and commercial houses.

The houses lacking title deeds have been a challenge for the Agency to prevent illegal activities.

Mesfin Mengistu, Manager of the Addis Ababa Housing Development Administration Agency, said to overcome these challenges all kebele houses will acquire title deed through time.

In the 2015/16 budget year, the Agency will issue legal documents for 30,000 houses, Mengistu said.
