The Economist Ethiopia Summit kicked off on Wednesday, October 29, 2015, in Addis Ababa, The Daily Monitor reported.

The two day Summit covers a wide range of topics on agriculture, manufacturing, private investment, finance and energy.

Ethiopia’s Premier in his opening speech made a remark about Ethiopia being a favorable destination for investment.

There have been discussions being held on the sustainability of the state led economic model Ethiopia is following, particularly at, how challenges over the availability of financing can be overcome, bottlenecks hampering the private sector and how they can be curbed.
